25 million iPhone 5s in 2011 Expected by apple - It’s well established that consumers tend to go a little spend-crazy whenever Apple releases a new version of the iPhone. And, with the iPhone 5 looming large on the horizon, we’ve been wondering whether sales will be similarly high come the mooted September launch.

Well, a report published by The Wall Street Journal claims Cupertino-based Apple has informed its hardware suppliers that it expects to sell a massive 25 million units of the glitzy iPhone 5 in 2011.

“Apple’s sales estimates of the new iPhone are quite aggressive,” an anonymous industry insider relayed to the Journal.

“It told us to prepare to help the company meet its goal of 25 million iPhone 5 units by the end of the year,” they added. “The initial production volume will be a few million units… we were told to ship the components to assembler Hon Hai in August.”

Citing unnamed component contractors connected to the creation of Apple’s iconic smartphone, the report also outlines a selection of the iPhone 5 features likely to be included on the upcoming handset.

iPhone 5 Radical look is so sexy

Another rumor that iPhone 5 could have radical new case - There are reports that iPhone 5 will be a new, fully redesigned product – rather than an updated iPhone 4 – with a "radical new case design," according to rumor site Boy Genius Report.

BGR's announcement of a fully-redesigned phone complements an earlier prediction from Thisismynext. The tech site reported that the iPhone 5 could be thinner than the current iPhone, with a teardrop-shaped case that would taper from top to bottom, giving it a profile similar to the MacBook Air computer. This new rumor also meshes with an earlier one that Apple has purchased machines capable of cutting curved glass, which would allow it to give the iPhone 5 a sleek, tapered case or iPhone 5 Radical New Look.

iPhone 5 coming with improved camera flash?

Rumors have long been circulating about the iPhone 5 and the improvements it will have as compared to the iPhone 4. There has been a lot of talk about the improvements that will be made with the camera. For one, all smartphones have moved to an 8MP camera and Apple is considering doing that in its 5 generation phone. Download Redsnow 0.9.6 RC16

Download Redsnow 0.9.6 RC16 - Redsnow 0.9.6 RC16 are now available for download. Redsnow includes a fix for verbose boot option for iOS 4.3.3 on old-bootrom iPhone 3GS.

You can install this fix over the previous version of the redsnow jailbreakon iphone. You are required to uncheck the “install cydia ” option. also one of the bug in the previous version which is “verbose boot” option is fixed for iphone 3gs old boot rom for iOS 4.3.3.

PwnageTool and redsn0w have been updated to include a fix for the iPhone3GS/i4 side switch vibration issue. Thanks to @i0n1c for tracking this down (even though he doesn’t even have an iPhone!).

If you’re already jailbroken at 4.3.3 (by either redsn0w or custom IPSW), you can install this fix simply by running redsn0w rc16 over your existing jailbreak. Just uncheck the “Install Cydia” option and check any other options you want. The fix will be installed no matter what you’ve selected. This is safe for even ultrasn0w unlockers to do (because redsn0w itself won’t update your baseband…only an iTunes stock IPSW update/restore will do that).

redsn0w rc16 has a few more improvements: Windows 7 and Vista users should no longer need to set their CPU affinity…just run redsn0w as Administrator in XP compatiblity mode. Also, the “verbose boot” option for old-bootrom iPhone 3GS has been fixed for 4.3.3 (remember: old-bootrom 3GS users can even have custom bootlogos that show right at power-up). Enjoy!
